STEP 01

STEP 02
Insert the key of the blade magazine in the slot designed on the right side of the razor.

STEP 03
Pull the lever of the blade magazine to the extreme right, then push it to the left till the fresh blade is fully loaded into the razor.

STEP 04
If you are replacing an existing blade, the old blade will push out from the other end. You can safely dispose of it using the empty slot provided in the blade magazine. If you are loading an empty razor, your razor is ready to be used after step 3.

NOTE Please ensure when you load the blade that it is fully inserted into the razor. In the event that the blade is not positioned properly into the razor after pulling out the blade magazine, you can manually push the blade all the way through to ensure the blade sits correctly.

MANUAL WAY
While the razor is designed to function flawlessly with an injector blade magazine, the design also allows for a simple and seamless manual process. This involves handling the blades directly, but if you follow the steps with care, you should be fine.

STEP 01
Push the bottom part of the shave setting with slight force and detach it from the razor body.

STEP 02
If the razor was without a blade to begin with, move on to step 3. If the razor contained an old blade, follow step 1 in a controlled manner in order to avoid the blade accidentally hurting you during detachment.

STEP 03
Take a fresh blade from the blade magazine by pulling and pushing the lever without inserting it into the razor.

STEP 04
Safely hold the new dispensed blade and place it on top of the shave setting. Make sure the cutting edge of the blade is facing the exposed side of the razor.

STEP 05
Again in a controlled manner, align the shave setting with the razor body. The natural force of the magnets will immediately attach the razor body to the shave setting.

PRO TIP The manual process is most effective when you may want to quickly clean the insides of your razor during or after the shave. This process allows you to reuse the existing blade.

NOTE The manual process is very simple and becomes intuitive once you go through the above steps. Everything is extremely safe as long as you do not rush it and do it in a controlled manner.

First and foremost, a shave brush is the best way to prep the facial hairs before a shave. Without adequate stimulation, shave creams and gels are unable to penetrate the hair and soften it. At the same time, when you dab on products by hand, hairs tend to remain matted to the face, making them difficult to access.

Shaving brushes help build amazing lather with the shaving cream which will soften the hair making the shave seamless with no razor tugging or razor burn. Follow these steps for the perfect prep to your shave.

STEP 01
Wet the shaving brush with warm water and shake of any excess water.

STEP 02
Apply shaving cream on the tip of the brush.

STEP 03
Lather the cream on your face using a circular motion with the brush. To make it a richer lather, add a bit of hot water to the brush. Not too much though as the shave cream will become too watery.

The X1 Single Edge Razor comes pre-installed with the Comfort shave setting. It is the recommended shave setting to star  with for most people to get a comfortable shave without nicks and cuts. For very sensitive skins, we suggest you begin with the Sensitive shave setting before switching to a more aggressive one. Learn which one is best for you:

The razor is designed to allow changing of the heads to customize shaves in an easy, intuitive and effective manner. Simply snap the head out with a simple push from the razor body.

Take the preferred shave setting, and align it against the body of the razor. The magnetic force will automatically hold it in place.

The X1 razor is built with a unique two-arm design to specifically provide a more controlled hold of the razor body unlike most single arm safety razors where the force is concentrated at the center, leading to cuts. With our two-armed design, the pressure is equally distributed across the razor head, leading to a clean shave with the first pass.

With a longer handle length, the razor provides a firmer grip making you confident as you maneuver the contours of your face and body.

The razor has been designed to be as intuitive as possible when first starting with a safety razor. Simply place the face of the razor against your skin and start with short strokes of 1-3 cm in length.

The X1 razor is perfectly weighted. Those coming from a multi-blade razor system will find the transition to using the X1 intuitive and flawless. Since our razor is similar in weight, the transition is smooth and leads to a comfortable experience from the very first shave. Apply pressure in the same way as you would with a multi-blade razor.

Unlike other safety razors, the aluminum build makes it lightweight. If you are coming from a heavier safety razor experience, we suggest that you apply minimal pressure for an effective shave.

WITH THE GRAIN
Rather than long, sweeping strokes of the razor, begin with short strokes of 1-3 cm in length in the direction of the hair growth (i.e. with the grain). Shaving in the direction of hair growth significantly reduces the chances of irritation, while still providing a close shave. Doing so will also help prevent nicks and cuts, while also preventing tugging of the hairs and clogging of the razor.

AGAINST THE GRAIN
Irrespective of the shave setting, if you shave against the direction of the hair (i.e. against the grain), it will provide a closer shave than shaving with the grain. You must use caution with this approach as shaving against the grain increases chances of razor burn and skin irritation. If this isn't your first rodeo, then you know your face and what it can handle. If you are a newbie, take your time and experiment.

ACROSS THE GRAIN
We recommend that you shave with the grain on your first pass. If you want an even closer shave, then shave across the grain with your second pass. This means shaving perpendicular to your beard growth. Make sure you lather up well before your second pass.

If you are shaving a heavy beard growth, you might experience clogging under the blade. In most cases, running the razor under the tap will clear any clog. If it doesn’t follow the next step:

With the two-part system design of this razor, you can easily clean in between the shave by pressing the shave setting to detach from the razor body. Rinse of the hairs and re-attach the shave setting to resume shaving.

When not in use keep your razor on the stand. If you do not have the stand, then we recommend placing the razor face up. This is to ensure that the razor loaded with the blade is not facing the surface of the countertop.

While the razor is designed to prevent direct contact between the blade and the countertop, any moisture on the counter op may come in contact with the blade and lead to faster deterioration of the blade.

The razors are anodized to provide not only attractive colors, but also to provide a strong layer of protection from corrosion. Anodizing creates a hard, wear-resistant layer that properly protects the underlying aluminum. While the protective layer will prevent rusting, we recommend you always thoroughly rinse it with water and dry it after every use.

We recommend you store your razor in a dry place. This will ensure that the razor can dry properly between uses.

The shave settings are made with strong, durable aluminum material which won’t break unless pressed with extreme force. An accidental drop might lead to minor deformities which may impact the performance of the razor. It is always safer to change the shave settings on a counter op to prevent accidental dropping from a height.

The X1 razor functions with non-proprietary injector style blades and accepts most commercially available injector blade magazines/dispensers. You can purchase these blades on our website or from several ecommerce marketplaces such as Amazon, Ebay and offline stores such as  Walmart, Walgreens etc.

These blades have been in existence since 1925 originally invented by Schick and have grown in popularity over the years. These blades are generally packed in a dispenser known as a magazine with a key that is inserted into the razor. The process is simple and safe and helps avoid direct handling of the blades, thereby minimizing the chances of cuts while handling the blade.

The blades are twice as thick as a multi-blade cartridge razor and double edge blades and thus offer double the number of shaves from every blade. The blades are sharp, super comfortable and offer an irritation-free when used with our razor. A typical user can expect up to 7-11 shaves per blade depending on skin and hair growth.

The blades are significantly cheaper than multi-blade cartridge systems and cost $0.6 per blade to replace. This is one fifth of the cost of a typical cartridge blade and results in significant savings over a period of time.

Blade magazines offered on our website are by Personna and are made in the US. Each blade magazine contains 20 blades and offers 6 months worth of shaves. A typical daily shaver will spend less than $25 a year on injector blades.

15 Day Return Policy Details

We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If you do not love your razor within the first 15 days, we will take it back!

Please note, our return policy is for one razor per customer. We would like for you to have the opportunity to try it and will honor one return per customer. Subsequent return requests will not be honored. 

Our Lifetime Warranty will still apply for manufacturer defects.

There are certain situations where no refund or only partial refunds are granted (if applicable):

• The customer has already returned one razor
• Customer sent return back without contacting customer support team with their return request
• Any item is damaged due to abuse
• Lost or stolen items
• Items purchased from distributors or retailers
• Any item that is returned more than 15 days after delivery

We will issue a full refund to your original form of payment for the price of any product that you return and applicable taxes paid on the product’s value if we receive your product return request within fifteen (15) days of the delivery date. Original shipping costs will not be refunded.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Upon approval, a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5-7 business days.

Exchanges are only accepted for defective or damaged items. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
